As many of you know, a few weeks ago I qualified as a Dru meditation teacher. One of the numerous benefits of doing this training is an enhanced feeling of happiness in my work. It’s not surprising that practicing meditation has enriched my yoga classes, but it has also given me clarity in helping people improve their English speaking and writing skills as well. I know for certain that the more time I spend doing yoga and meditation, the more I relax and get things done. It’s just plain healthy. Luckily we are seeing in our schools and workplaces a growing awareness of the physical and mental health benefits of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. What I would love to see in 2017 and beyond is that it’s normal, just part of a regular work day for children, students, and employees to practice these life-enhancing skills.
So in an effort to help us all weave yoga and meditation into our daily lives, I will be offering two new classes – in addition to my regular Monday and Thursday classes. Every other Monday I will offer a new meditation class starting January 19th. On February 2nd a new morning yoga class will start. These new classes not only give you more opportunities to make up a missed lesson, but also enable you to take more than one lesson a week at a discount.
And whether you take my yoga and meditation class or not, please do practice being happy and healthy all year.
